Terman's Radio Engineering Useful Since 4th Grade
By Ed Sharpe

From SMEC Vintage Electrics Vol. #3, Issue #1 ( Now SMECC )

Although I had never met Fred Terman in person, his book, Radio Engineering, has been my constant tutor since 4th grade. Unfortunately, the name of the fellow that gave me this wonderful book escapes me, as he lived in the neighborhood for only a short time. At first the majority of this book was over my head, but by pestering people who worked in electronics with questions, I understood more as each year passed. When I went into the Air Force, this book became lost, however I was able to acquire another copy. Thank you Fred Terman for sharing your knowledge of radio engineering with me in printed form, and thanks to the person that gave me that fine book and those patient people that helped me to understand it. -Edward A.
