"JOSEPH B. WEAVER, Vice-President, Secretary and Director, age 49, received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering from Rose Polytechnic Institute in 1935 and in 1936 received his Master of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Tennessee. From October 1936 to July 1941 he was employed by General Electric Co. as Project Engineer on wire and insulating materials.
From July until November 1941, he was employed as an engineer in the experimental test department, Allison Divison, General Motors Corporation, Indianapolis. From 1941 until 1945 Mr. Weaver was a design engineer with Radio Corporation of America, in charge of production design work on 16MM sound motion picture projectors. In September 1945 Mr. Weaver and Mr. John Pies established as a partnership I.D.E.A., a predecessor company to Regency Electronics, Inc. to do consulting and design work on electronic, electro-mechanical and allied devices......"
This Regency Was used by Mr. Weaver at
the INDY 500, He liked being able to listen
to the sportscaster on the radio while watching
the race in front of him!
